S.F. Jude Terror wrote:Went to the WWE house show in Oakland last night. Highlights of the night were Mark Henry and Xavier Woods vs. The Real Americans. Zeb Coulter really whipped the crowd (heavy hispanic population there) into a frenzy, pointing out people in the crowd who he thought were illegal immigrants and all that. Xavier Woods did a terrific Ricky Morton impersonation for the entire match. Henry had like 30 seconds in the ring but was massively over. Afterward, Woods made Henry dance with him in the ring. Those two have way more charisma than Woods and R-Truth do. Oh, Swagger got pinned, of course.

Alberto Del Rio was also fantastic, tons of Charisma. Came out, getting massive boos. Said something in spanish, massive cheers. Then talked a bunch of shit to the crowd, and back to massive boos. He was so good that he had his opponent, The Miz, extremely over as a face.

Orton vs. Cena in a cage was the main event. Cena lost, my son started crying like it was the end of the world, to the amusement of everyone in our section. Orton came back in the cage with a steel chair though and Cena AAed him, of course, which raised my son's spirits.

There were some loud smarks right behind me, and they kept yelling stuff out that would have been clever in 1997. Smarks: everyone is in on it now. Give it a rest.

:-D at your son. Awesome!

Good to see I'm not the only person who loves Del Rio.

He's too good for the stories WWE put him in.

They’ve bumbled Del Rio so hard! He started out so great and they’ve just misused him for a while. :-(

Still enjoy his matches sometimes but mostly don’t enjoy his segments now.

I think they should just go back to the original gimmick or rebuild the character from the ground up, getting fed to Batista is a good way to start over

That's part of the problem they build these guys up so fast and rush to put a world title on them, everything else seems like a step back. I'm sure that's what he's thinking as well.

So, Batista's behavior on RAW certainly wasn't the kind of behavior that one would expect to see from a face in the current PG-Era of the WWE...

...come to think of it, Batista's behavior wasn't the type of behavior that one would expect to see from a face at any time era of the WWE. That was pretty fucking brutal considering the fact the Alberto Del Rio wasn't actively provoking him at the time. :?
