So for example, I could find out the name of the actor that played Predator and choose that Predator?

DaReekstah wrote:You can start anywhere on your list. Personally, I think it makes more sense to save the best for last. If Rooster Cogburn was thefourthman's best character, or one of his best, and he threw it this early and it gets beaten.. well, that's not very interesting in the long run.
But it's up to you.
And yeah. After a character is added, we judge their place. So whoever is next, don't make your pick until you see the previous character updated on the Top 10.
I think you should announce when the next pick is ready to go, when you feel the discussion is done and all.

I guess. I mean.. I was envisioning this thing being more about like.. actors/characters, but it doesn't matter. Yeah, you can pick that if you want.

Reek's right, Ralph Macchio always played the dork in the Karate Kid movies -- Mr. Miyagi was more of a badass. But, I like the pick -- it shows an example of thinking outside the box.

Ok, I'm signing off for now. If nieto makes his pick, discuss amongst yourselves.

Sorry I'm late!
Rick Blaine from Casablanca, as played by Humphrey Bogart.

Yeah, I'd put that one at the top of the current list.

nice pick. on toughness he's a little below Rooster, but in coolness he is like a million times cooler. I'd say he takes the top spot currently. (although I like Bogart much more in The Maltese Falcon as Sam Spade and would be lying if I said I would be disappointed if Sam missed out on the list)

Ooh! Good choice! I'd say that is #1 so far.

It was actually a tough call, but Casablanca is my favourite movie, plus Rick is just far more mysterious and insoucient than Spade.

So we're in agreement then? I updated the list in the OP, and I guess that means it's D's turn.

Damn, you guys are going old-school. All but 2 or 3 of my characters are pretty contemporary.
