The animated block of DC cartoons will be returning to Cartoon Network on January 5.

Though they still haven't answered as to why they pulled the animated block in October, Cartoon Network announced today (along with a new Teen Titans Go! short) it's return with all new episodes starting January 5.

This reporter is going to dust off the old preview of DC Nation he posted back when the block began anew in October. Here's hoping Cartoon Network doesn't abruptly yank it again.

There's the tin-foiled hat conspiracy of a Toxic character, but the only other possibility is that they want to have new episodes all year. However, it sounds like this will be the final season of YJ and Green Lantern is looking like we'll be getting another season.MAYBE.

About time. Hopefully Cartoon Network plays it smart and doesn't interrupt the remaining episodes of either of these shows. I was really hoping for at least one more season of Young Justice where they introduced characters like Starfire and Cyborg. Oh well, I'll enjoy what few episodes remain.

Time-Warner should hand DC over to CN. Maybe it would be cheaper for CN to do DC animated series then.

Yes and sort of. GL: TAS first half was released as a collection. YJ well.. they split it up in volumes. However recently they released a three pack of most of S1 in one collection.
