Actually most books starring females out right now suck. Wonder Woman is pretty good but only when compared to the rest of the NUDCU. When you compare it to past Wonder Woman books its terrible.

Like i said Wonder Woman/Batgirl/Supergirl/Catwoman are some of the best known female superheroes if not the best known... they are gonna sell, regardless of quality... and the quality of Batgirl/Supergirl and Catwoman right now is kind of shitty...

Marvel has never really had a Wonder Woman type of female hero. All of their female heroes seem to establish themselves on teams.

Someone call Anita Sarkeesian! Misogyny alert!

Marvel well.. the best female book they ever had was Spider-Girl. Even that was average. I was re-reading X-23. That was alright. The best written modern story was Lui's Black Widow. I think they should just do an ongoing with short stories. It's obvious the only way a female superhero at Marvel can hold a book is if it's a team one tragically.

Shame, I really like Ms Marvel. I hope it doesn't get canceled.

It's got to be real close to being cancelled. It does have a crossover happening in issue #13 that can hopefully improve sales.

So who are your guys' (or girls' if they exist here) favorite female characters from the big two?

Not those big two.

Ms Marvel has been pretty good. I was skeptikal at first due to the costume change and art, but both have grown on me and the story has been fun. Sue DeConnick has done a great job with her characterization.

I'll chime in with the "Marvel doesn't have an iconic female character" crowd too. And being that the time for creating an iconic character is loooong past due they never will. As much as I love some of their female characters(no Jude, not that way), they will never get the sales like DC's female characters.

Favorite female characters? I'd say Rogue and Ms Marvel are well at the top of that list. I like She-Hulk a lot too, but the comedic take on her holds her back I think. And Dagger too of course.

Marvel has so many great female characters. Some of my favorites are Dagger, Ms. Marvel, Black Cat, She-Hulk, Spider-Woman, Tigra, Domino and Valkyrie.

But I had been reliably informed that there were loads and loads of fans who wanted to read about female characters and that Marvel were SEXIST MISOGYNISTS for not having many of them.
