I downloaded this the other day, but I'm balls deep in MGS4 and I haven't had a chance to play around with the demo.

I never thought I'd be able to play a FF game. Was going to get Lost Odyssey...may still...when the price comes down because it was the closest thing to a FF game the 360 would see.

I think once the 2.0+ Blu Ray players start hitting the market, and all those people that bought the PS3 for the Blu Ray realize they still have to buy the 2.0+ versions to access the deeper Blu Ray features, you're going to see 2 things happen: PS3s are going to go for cheap on Ebay, and retail sales of the PS3 will plummet. Most people realize it's not games that're driving the PS3 sales, but the low-cost Blu Ray HD drive. The console feature is a bonus.

With Fable 2, now FFXIII, there's not really any question of us getting a PS3, especially now that Vicki's using Vista and able to connect her PC to the 360 without any issue.

I've never heard of it either. Plus I'm sure that Sony will have updates for the PS3 so it continues to support the system.

Edit: After a quick search I found an article talking about how the future updates to Blu-Ray players will actually be a selling point for the PS3. Apparently the system is built to be easily updated to run any new features for Blu-Ray systems through simple updates. So if anything Blu-Ray 2.0 and beyond will be good for the PS3 not bad.

Check out the link in my previous post. It's updates that add new features to Blu-Ray players. Some systems won't be able to update, but the PS3 was made with those sorts of things in mind and will benefit from them as a result.

It's bigger than that. It's like Sony getting Halo 4 at the same time as X-Box.

Final Fantasy coming to the 360 gives the final nail in the coffin to the ps3 in my mind. I'm sorry but they've lost everything. All they have is Metal Gear Solid which was the last game in the series.

There will be a MGS5, just not directed by Kojima and not with Snake as the hero. It's been rumored it'll be a prequel with Big Boss, once more.

And I wouldn't count PS3 out just because of FF. It'll still be coming out for PS3 as well. And PS3 sales, while still in third, have been more than respectable in comparison to not only where the PS2 stood at this point in it's life post-release, but the 360 as well.

Lately I've played my PS3 pretty much exclusively and haven't even turned on the 360 save to download something here and there.

I've been playing MGSIV and GTAIV, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma before that.

Not much on the 360 I want to play until Rock Band 2 and GoW 2 come out.

Same here. I haven't turned my 360 on ONCE since I got my PS3.

Are there less good games out for PS3? Yes. BUT.. there's about the same amount of good games out for it as the 360 had about a year and a half into it's release. Is it losing exclusives? Yeah, that can't be denied.. but so what? They're also making new ones on the horizon.

The Wii has destroyed both systems in sheer numbers sold. That doesn't make it much much better or make it so that the others will stop being made.

Also God of War is still out there for the PS3. Gran Turismo. Resistance could end up being a big franchise. Plus the Blu-Ray aspect will continue to be a selling point, which could lead to multi-platform titles becoming more popular on the PS3 down the road.

The PS3 isn't on the brink of extinction any more than DC is.
