Akibaranger Season 2 Event Report! More Guest Rangers![Reveal] Spoiler: Click to ExpandThe event started with the three unofficial heroes, already transformed, trying to pose whilst the new opening was playing. The song is simply called “Akibaranger Season Two” and is sung by Haruko Momoi, Yukio Yamagata and MoJo. They even seem to be making reference to Bandai in the song. Soon afterwards, a reworked edition of the second teaser video was shown. This teaser contained edited footage, as opposed to a short making-of video. It seemed to cover a bit of episode one.
• For some reason Nobuo can’t transform with the regular MMZ-01 (Moe Moe Z-Cune).
• A Machine Itassher toy was in the cafe.
• The weapons Akibaranger’s used have been made into toys ,DX AkibaLaser (MMZ-01) and DX MeteorCannon (Inordinate Cannon).
• The new Blue, Luna Iwashimizu, was cosplaying as Akiba Blue.
• Malshina was shown taking a bath as someone calls her through a device that looks very similar to the MMZ-01.
• She says Evil Delusion (jamousou) and transforms. But all it does is add a helmet and changes her clothes.
• Some old monsters from season one are back.
• Yu Kamio (Kiyoto Maki/Dinosaur Greeed) will be in season two.

Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger S2 Takes Place in a Parallel World
Who's this guy (not the red ranger obviously)?
It's a new magazine I saw solicited on DCBS.
Looks like a metal hero (eg. Gavan)... I didn't watch those much. Let me look.
Okay it does look like Gavan (sorry Gavan, Sharivan, Shaider, Juspion, etc look very similar to me)
He was in a movie with the pirates.
Is that a magazine or something?
Oh yeah, he's an old guy. I'm waiting to watch it to when I finally finish the series.

A live-action television adaptation of the nonfiction manga Black Jack Sōsaku Hiwa ~Tezuka Osamu no Shigoto-ba Kara~ (The Secret Story of the Creation of Black Jack: From Osamu Tezuka's Studio) has been green-lit.
In Black Jack Sōsaku Hiwa, Masaru Miyazaki and Kōji Yoshimoto recount the true story of how manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy/Mighty Atom, Kimba the White Lion/Jungle Emperor, Phoenix) created Black Jack, his classic tale of a brilliant maverick doctor. Miyazaki and Yoshimoto used firsthand accounts from people who were actually at Tezuka's studio to give their behind-the-scenes account.
Momoko Sakura's (Chibi Maruko-chan) Nagasawa-kun manga is getting a live-action drama adaptation starting on April 1.
The drama will star Hitori Gekidan (Ikigami, Dororo, Densha Otoko) as Nagasawa-kun, Satoshi Hanada (of the Hannya comedy duo) as Fujiki-kun, Miyuki Ōshima (of the Morisanchū comedy trio) as Kosugi-kun, Eiji Wentz (Brave Story, live-action Nodame Cantabile) as Hanawa-kun, Haruka Minowa (of the comedy duo Harisenbon) as Noguchi-san, and Aiko Kaitō (live-action Chibi Maruko-chan, Densha Otoko) as Jōgasaki. Sakura herself is collaborating on the show's scripts, and is writing the lyrics for Yō Matsuyuki's theme song "Futtō Shiyōze!" Yukihiko Tsutsumi (20th Century Boys, Ikebukuro West Gate Park) and Hisashi Kimura (Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo: Hong Kong Kyūryū Zaihou Satsujin Jiken) are co-directing the series.
The Chibi Maruko-chan spinoff manga centers on the side character Nagasawa-kun, a foul-mouthed middle-school boy whose head is shaped like an onion. The original manga ran in Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine from 1993-1995, and Shogakukan released the compiled volume in 2003.
The live-action series of five-minute shorts will air late at night on Mondays through Thursdays. Comic Natalie has posted pictures of the cast in costume from a press conference on Thursday.
Yua Kotegawa's Arcana supernatural manga is getting a live-action film adaptation this fall starring Tao Tsuchiya. Tsuchiya previously played Renge in the live-action adaptation of Ouran High School Host Club, and she has also appeared in Ultraman Zero the Movie and Ryōmaden. Arcana will be Tsuchiya's first starring role in a film.
The love horror story takes place in a world where humans and dopplegangers can coexist. Tsuchiya will play the role of both Maki and Satsuki. Maki is a girl who can see and communicate with spirits. Masataka Nakagauchi plays a detective named Murakami who becomes attracted to Maki. Yoshitaka Yamaguchi (assistant director for Yatterman) is directing the film.
