Definitely belongs with X2 and First Class as one of the best X-Men movies.

Unfortunately.... there's Viper.

Still, this is 80% really good movie, 15% decent movie, and 5% shitty movie (mostly anytime Viper is on screen)

Exactly. This would have been a fantastic Wolverine film. But then there's Viper who just brings the movie to a level you just wonder, what the hell the writers where thinking?! Okay it was Fox. The same people who gave us Mouthless Deadpool, Cloud Galactus, and the worst Doctor Doom ever created.

Killian was always the real Mandarin in the movie and Kingsley was his stereotypical fake stand-in.

So he wasn't decked out in rings and didn't channel Fu Manchu...so what?

Finally watched this film last night and surprisingly it absolutely exceeded my expectations of what a Wolverine movie could/should be. Then again, my expectations were pretty low to begin with but this was a genuinely enjoyable movie. That being said, I completely agree about Viper. Every time I found myself getting into the movie, she would show up and bring me right back out of it. Not only was the character terrible but the "actress" playing her was terrible as well. It's like the film was about to go over budget, so they just picked up some average looking girl from the side of the road and asked her if she wanted to be in a movie.

A couple of other problems that I had with the movie:

- At what point in the previous X-Men films was it established that Wolverine regained his memories? He seemed to be remembering things that happened prior to being shot by Stryker's magic, adamantium piercing bullet just fine.

- Speaking of adamantium, I know it has already been mentioned in regards to this movie but I'm just not buying the fact that the Silver Samurai armor is capable of so easily severing Wolverine's claws.

So true.

Viper was so pointless in this movie.

As I said before she's more of a Captain America villain than a Wolverine one. I do hope that if they keep making CA films at Disney they bring back the character with a different actress and pretend this incarnation of hers never happened. The concept of Viper is that she's a Nazi terrorist and not some snake mutant with an expertise in toxins.

Please, no. :smt011

They will only make a finite amount of Captain America movies and there are much better villains out there to use than Viper, even if they use a version of Viper that is closer to her comic book counterpart.

Respectfully disagree here, Grayson.

So you're saying that you would rather see Viper in a future Captain America film than Baron Zemo, Arnim Zola, Doctor Faustus, Baron von Strucker, and/or a new Red Skull?

He probably wants a movie with all of the above plus another list of characters that he'll think about for later.

I would rather see all of those villains appear in CA films if they keep making more of them down the road. If not, some of them could appear on Agents Of SHIELD or another show if anything.

Joel Schumacher did a Superman film... the supersuit would have nipples. And a giant cod piece.

So no, Joel Schumacher's villain status remains!

But my earlier point was that there will only ever be a set amount of Captain America movies during this cycle of superhero films. After Winter Solider, we will probably get 2-3 more solo Cap films if we're lucky, so why would they waste their time on Viper when there are better Captain America villains out there? If they get around to naturally introducing the character into a future story, ok but again, why waste their time introducing Viper when they still need to introduce an actual important character like Zemo?

I'd say the creators of Man of Steel are the greatest villains of all.
