Cats really do drive people crazy and take over their minds.

My one friend keeps sending me articles on that. He hates cats.

Her kids didn't even have beds to sleep in anymore because of all the loose cats and walls of stacked cages when they finally intervened. Believe it or not there were still family members who were pissed as fuck that an intervention was finally forced.

I was angry because I told them a year before that they needed to stop her and not let her pretend to run a cat rescue out of her apartment, but family members told me I was a dick for saying an unemployed, uneducated woman can't possibly have the resources to "start an animal shelter" in their home and care for sick animals. Fucking morons. But they were actually pissed at me just for saying that nothing good could come of pretending this was okay to do.

She doesn't talk to the family that called the Humane Society and probably saved her daughter's life, such as it is now. But you know what? Fuck her, dumb selfish bitch.

Sounds like she already had mental problems prior. That was an insane situation and one I've read of before in various news stories about similar people. But cutting her loose is for the best for you. Some folks have to destroy themselves and will only try to drag you down with them. My condolences.

Yeah, she may have mental problems and hoarding definitely runs in that side of my adopted family too--but I'm still angry at the relatives who enabled her "cat rescue" for so long and treated me like shit for saying it could only end up one way, really bad.

I mean, I worked in animal rescue for years, this is one thing I know vastly more about than any of them and they gave me the cold shoulder for telling it like it is when they brought it up to me and held that grudge against me just for saying so.

Sadly families can be that way. Some folks will always be dead set on being wrong.

And that little girl's probably brain-damaged as a result of it.
