Well first off let me say I think the Spice Girls suck. Secondly, the black one that Eddie Murphy got pregnant is hot now.

I don't know if anyone at this point could be called the voice of the 90's, still to early IMO. If I had to bet though, it sure as hell wouldn't be the Spice Girls. I'd lean towards a Nirvana or Tupac or someone like that.

It's redonkulious to be discussing the voice of the current generation now. (something I'm aware Kanye thinks he is, but eh, he's made a living on saying sorta dumb things)

You're just posting whatever you can think of that goes against the grain, just to start arguments.

I agree with this. Twigg, i just have to say to your recent posts. What. The. Hell?

Firstly, you like Kanye West, fair enough, but saying that the live performance (that Chris posted) was good is utter crap. Then we come onto the real insanity: Enimem has always been bigger than Kanye. Fact. And the point that bugs me most - Green Day are NOT a band that you could say summarized the 00s in any way, shape or form. Apart from the fact that most of their material to date came out in the 90s, their albums consist of the same pop punk as they have always done, which has been similar to every other band that did it since the lates 80s. What does that summarize, exactly?

Also, your comic views recently have sounded like they've come from somebody who had picked up his first book post Civil War, when i know for fact you signed up to Oldrama before me, so its at least been since 2005, so your comics knowledge really couldn't be so naive as you let on.

Sort it out.

He creates his music. He has talent and he's right when he talks trash about MTV rewarding dumbasses with no talent and when he talks trash about recording studios etc, he's correct. Not whiny.

He also has charisma. When I hear him rant about MTV or his latest blow up, I think....... "Yep! He's right."

They still are the bad that summed up the 90's best for me. And obviously 80% of Britain. I'm not changing anything, I think I've proven that they are definitely acceptable as one of the biggest bands. IMO they sum up the 90's pop boy/girl band craze more than anything else.

Because Greendays American Idiof

a) Brought about mainstream interest in the pop/punk sound for this generation
b) Brought along all the mainstream faux interest in politics with thier anti American stance.

He had little mini rants last night, the first one was against celebrities using Twitter, the second one was about the media knocking celebrities like Michael Jackson, he's really quite passionate.

60's:
The Beatles
Jimi Hendrix experience

70's:
Pink Floyd
Sex Pistols

80's:
U2
Madonna

90's:
Spice Girls
Nirvana

00's:
Kanye
Greenday

Other bands in contention for the sound of the 00's would be the Jonas Brothers, Nickelback and the Killers.
