For RU, that's probably more of a pinkie-held game system. :P

I like games like Tekken, elder scrolls, and borderlands on my PS3, but I'm not sure how well they'd translate to hand held.

So, basically, I don't know

Might as well get the DS, the Vita is on the way out of production so after awhile no new games.

Without hesitation - 3DS XL (the larger screen is so much better).

On the flipside, the Vita actually got mentioned in the Sony pre-Tokyo Game Show conference tonight.

Vita is more powerful so and has more media functions than the 3DS. It has more games of the shooting variety and companies are more likely to bring over Japanese games than on the 3DS. If you like stuff like Uncharted and Assassin's Creed, Vita has those.

Despite that, I love my 3DS. Though not sure i can recommend it to RU. Also, it's due to get a refresh sometime next year (Japan is getting their refresh in October).

You can also do remote play of your PS4 games. And I guess some PS3 games? My friend does that and loves it.

I'm not sure what I'd recommend because I have never caught the portable gaming bug. I think I was inoculated against it. I think the 3D aspect of the 3DS is pretty cool, though. If it were me, I'd probably go 3DS just because of my love for Nintendo properties, it's backward compatibility with DS games, and the it's access to old school Virtual Console titles.

3DS is awesome. I've had mine since April and so far I've played

Legend of Zelda Link between worlds- This is simply an awesome game.

Pokemon X - the most fun I've had playing pokemon since the original game

Bravely Default - just started this one, but if you like old school final fantasy you'll probably like this.

I don't think I would have ever gotten a Gameboy if I had never played Pokemon. :D
