He's now a known perjurer and if the jury finds out his credibility will be shot and he'll probably get life considering he shot an unarmed minor with no criminal record.

it goes both ways though, right? I mean if we bring in external factors, we have to acknowledge that Trayvon was suspended several times, and was probably a drug dealer known to be violent among his friends.
all the evidence points to Zimmerman's story being correct though, the only thing against him is something like your hunch, and we all know that just because Trayvon didn't have a criminal record does not mean he wasn't willing to kill another man.
