There is no proven treatment for pancreatic cancer, it has very poor survival rates regardless of what stage it's detected and when it metastasizes, it's game over. Of all the cancers to get, Pancreatic is arguably the worst.

Sure it is Hab, I'm 40 years old. I've kissed three people goodbye while they were on their death beds. It's really hard to look someone in the eye, tell them you love them and not loose your shit because you know and they know in that exchanged glance that you won't be seeing that person ever again. Then you walk into the hallway or the parking lot and loose your shit.
Dying people won't have issues to deal with later on, that's something for the living to deal with. So it's up to the dying to make sure they make the inevitable transition as easy as possible for their surviving dependants.
