Video Games That You Enjoy That Aren't "Popular"

Postby Zechs » Thu Jun 05, 2008 7:51 pm

You know games that aren't all that remembered cept by other gamers. One game in particular I always enjoyed was P.T.O. aka Pacific Theaters of Operations.

There was two sequels, but honestly only played one of them (PTO 2, not 4 since I have no PS2). And honestly I enjoyed the original more. I loved commanding either the Japanese or Allied Navy.

Plus it was always fun when I was Japan. It was fun screwing around US diplomatic relations with Great Britain and Russia and then have them join the Axis Powers. That or have Japan get Long Range Bombers, Jet Fighters, Rockets, and other tech before the Allies did.

It's fun screwing with history.

The only downside I had with it was the music. It was five tracks (main title, planning/peaceful phase, battle, battle phase, and victory). And only two where ever good (main, battle phase, and victory) the rest where annoying.

Still fun game. Anyone else have any?

since I only have a PS2 probably all of them. LOL!

but there's a four player PacMan game that my kids and I play that I love. Also I have an old Atari game called Tempest that I use to play in the 80's while my parents bowled and I love playing that one too.

No because hearing and living through people online via pc games scared me away from it. Also I think it's too late to find X-Box Live for the old X-Box. :(

I'm a nut with plane and World War II stuff though. Besides my PTO fetish I adore 1942 also.

The same XBox live works for the old games, doesn't it?

And I don't bother attaching the headset when I play, so I don't have to hear anyone. :)

I waited a long time before signing up for it, and I never should have. It rocks.

OH! Another game that I play that others might not find popular.... I buy EVERY new WWE game that comes out. :)

I used to do that when I owned a NES, SNES, N-64 (cept the first two I was seduced by the WCW side until WWE stole the company made the WCW games), and Gamecube.

God I used to love the later halves create a character. My fav ones where Deathstroke (toon version costume), Scorpion, Reptile, Kid Buu, M. Bison, Sagat, Chun Li, and Superman.

One of them, I think it was Here Comes The Pain... included EVERYTHING, including a full web slinging ring entrance, so you could create Spider-man.

I love the create a character modes. These days, though, all I make are myself and my brother, to form the MWO, of course.... and for some reason, I CANNOT have a create a character without making Al Bundy. :D

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial fr the 2600. It kicked ass back in the day, and I'm constantly defending it.

Superman Returns and Spider-Man 3 are also awesome on the 360.

Chibi-Robo is the cutest game ever made, and made me smile from beginning to end. Love it.

Space Channel 5 Part 2 goes all the way to awesome, kicks into hyperspace, and leaves everything else in it's dust.

Clubhouse Games is the most underrated game on the DS. Other than Animal Crossing, I've never gotten more out of a $30 game.

100% agree.

Elite beat agents and SNK Vs. Capcom Card fighters Clash are great for the DS too.

Crimson Skies and Midtown Madness were my two favorite "LIVE" games for the old Xbox.
And if you don't have it, but have a 360, download it!

Another one of my favorite original Xbox games, and probably one of my top 5 games of all time is Psychonauts.
That's also available as a 360 download.

(actually with both these games it might be cheaper to buy used than to DL.)
