will xpost in the fun with lego thread...

Lego Lord of the Rings confirmed

The next franchise to get spun into a Lego game will be J.R.R. Tolkien's epic fantasy tome Lord of the Rings, according to a new report at MCV. The site reports that packaging materials found with the new Lego line of Lord of the Rings toys confirms the project.

On top of MCV's report, United Kingdom retailer Shop To posted (and then removed) a listing for Lego Lord of the Rings. A Google cache version of the product page is available, which reveals placeholder box art and an October 2012 release date.

The game is to be developed by the Warner Bros.-owned Traveller's Tales, which picked up the Lego license in 2004. The company has adapted a range of popular franchises into Lego games, including Star Wars, Batman, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, and Indiana Jones.

I think they blew it by not making a Lego Avengers videogame.

One of my friends got invited to the Sony and Microsoft conferences at E3.

I told him if he gets any free systems I want them! :D And then I'd try to see if I could spot him on G4 coverage.

E3 2012 Press Conference Schedule

Stop giving Tues to Reggie all by himself! You know he's just fiendishly coming up with the just right list of games to show to make Sony and Microsoft look weak. :D

And every time I see Ubisoft having its own press conference I keep hoping they asked Joel McHale to host it again.

I think he has a lost to answer for with the Wii and the the upcoming U Since last year they admit they did a poor job at the Expo.

LOL all he needs to do is show new Mario, new Zelda, probably a new Mega Man, etc to make that crowd a bunch of drooling Pavlovians.

The fact that a year went by with no Wii U yet will certainly be something he better address to the crowd with release date and price info.

But the real factor is both Microsoft and Sony have to actually wow the crowds this year as well. Microsoft was HORRIBLE last year.

As it is the G4 coverage or E3 is going to be very interesting with all the shake ups they're currently going through.

Adam Sessler left the network during contract negotiations and G4 never bothered to mention anything until all the episodes he had previously taped had actually aired. And they just announced Kevin Perriera will be leaving G4 at the end of the month (though he'll still do E3 this year as his last official assignment with the network).

Wonder if he's going to pull a Munn and go scorched earth policy during the coverage?
