I rented Call of Duty: Ghosts to play with friends and since I'm still waiting for my money train to come in so I can pick up Assassin's Creed III, I played through the campaign. Here's how every mission goes in the game and pretty much every other CoD campaign.

1. You and your crack team of commandos start a daring, highly planned mission.
2. Something goes terribly wrong!
3. Everything blows up.

Seriously. That's every mission/ level of the game. It's insane disaster porn. And not even GOOD disaster porn. CoD Modern Warfare 3 blew up recognizable landmarks when something when terribly wrong. Ghosts just blows up the ground or maybe the jet you're flying in. Or a satellite.

At what point do you consider your crack team of commandos not very good at their job? When everything blows up? Is that the right time? Because for a crack team of commandos, these guys kind of suck. There's usually three other guys in your squad but you end up shooting everything so it's like they've latched onto you because you make them look good when something goes terribly wrong and everything blows up. Except your character can never talk to them so, for example, when your daddy calls you on the radio and asks you if you're ok, your character doesn't actually answer him. He just follows the other characters' directions like a good little mute.

In conclusion, CoD campaigns are getting pretty awful but at least this time you have a dog.

Man, a first person shooter GIJoe game would be awesome.

But it would have to be more Battlefield than Call of Duty because what fun would a GIJoe game be if you couldn't get into a Skystriker or a HISS tank?

Actually, driving in Battlefield is annoying and you don't actually get to see the vehicle because you're still stuck in First Person. It would need more of a Halo or Borderlands touch to it...

Sony reveals PS4 virtual reality headset plans at GDC panel

At a "Driving the Future of Innovation at Sony" panel today, Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida revealed the company's long-rumored plans to enter the virtual reality headset space that has gained new relevance in the wake of the Oculus Rift's development. The headset, codenamed project Morpheus, is being developed by an international team of Sony engineers.

"Virtual Reality is the next innovation from Playstation that may well change the future of games," Yoshida said. "Nothing elevates the level of immersion better than VR," he continued, adding that VR "goes one step further than immersion to deliver presence."

I'm just getting used to the Kinect, not sure about all these VR headsets coming to platforms. While I see how it could be a huge advantage for FPS other type of games not so much.

It's supposed to be for more than just games.

They partnered with NASA.

I think the first to partner with the porn industry may have a... leg... up.

Not yet. I am sooo backlogged. Still, will probably get Trozei before Yoshi (even though I plan to). Trozei is about the engagement time I can do nowadays.

Is anyone else playing Infinite Crisis? It's a MOBA that was just released into open beta. I've been in since the early beta days.

Awesome. I just finished Lego Movie though there are two achievements I'm skipping because you only get one character change and their are buried deep in levels asking for perfect score.
