It's ok. Some of the infiltration missions will make you feel like a rock star. On the other hand, it's kind of depressing. You sneak in on people's lives and usually catch them at their worst. Not something I like to play for more than an hour or two at a time.

The city is awesome, though. The rain effects are great.

I might be overly sensitive to that sort of thing. ;)

I like playing games as the hero. You know. The guy who can save the day no matter what. At least I like them to have the best of intentions. Lately, I've been playing a lot of anti-heroes. A LOT of anti-heroes. Aiden is definitely one of those guys. Watchdogs is basically the Punisher with magic cell phones, more government surveillance, and WAY more moral gray areas. There are no "good guys."

And that's fine. It's the game Ubisoft is trying to tell and I have faith in Ubisoft's ability to tell an intriguing story. It's just... kind of depressing. Maybe that's just Chicago.

It does have Spider-Tank, though. Spider-Tank is awesome.

I finally pulled the trigger and beat Xenoblade Chronicles last night. 195 hours. Level 97 & 98 team members. I had unlocked all of the skill trees but just didn't have the patience to open up all of the skills. Full affinity between every party member. Everyone recruited to Colony 6. It was a very good game but I'm happy to have it behind me now. That was a huge time investment!

Level 97/98 is seriously over-leveled for the final boss, too. I think I could have just set the controller down for all three rounds. Good ending, though. Nice and satisfying.

My son and I beat Super Mario 3D World this morning. We started playing Star World and unlocked Rosalina while we were at it. So we've got a lot more stuff to do in that game.

(My daughter was in trouble and wasn't allowed to play games with us. Truly, the greatest punishment imaginable.)

To prove what a terrible father I am, we also watch about an hour of YouTube videos where people play 3DS games. The kids love it. We've watched Zack Scott play through Super Mario 3D Land and Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds. I think I lucked out on the player because Scott doesn't swear unless you count dropping the "G" word. That one slightly bothers me but I know it would bother guys like RU much more.
