Sounds like we were tracking them prepare the chemical attack for days and did nothing to try and stop it or warn the populace, even down to refusing to send gasmasks to them.

I was thinking Osama Bin Laden didn't just destabilize the US he fucked some of his favorite countries in the process. I miss the days when we'd just let tyrants be tyrants.

Can someone remind me of what my stance was on Iraq 10 years ago so I can take the opposite stance?

Thats the way most republicans are going about this. I think Donald Rumsfeld having any opinion on Syria is hilarious. I have the same opinion on this as I did 10 years ago on Iraq and Afghanistan.

But then you have the opposite as well (see all of Hab's posts over the past year). It's alright now that Obama is in charge.

The whole world is fucking crazy.

They've repeatedly demonstrated that they'll do ANYthing as long as it goes against Obama. Even if it means destroying this country financially. It's patently absurd.

I personally love the reaction out of Iran, "You bomb Syria, we bomb Israel."

It's not as clear as Republicans vs Democrats. For example, President Bush (who's now good buddies with the Obama family incidentally) has no criticism for him now. President Carter, on the other hand, is saying taking action now on our own might even be illegal.

Liberating children from an uncertain future with Peace Bombs.

I did enjoy Kerry's little speech the other day. 'Only stupid people would question us!'

Whenever I hear him referred to as "America's premiere diplomat" or the like I do an inner face-palm.

And at least Obama's Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech advocated the use of military force--it's probably the only honest speech he's ever given!
