I've only been in 2 minor fender-benders in my life and have never received a ticket for speeding, but tonight I was t-boned by a Ford F-250.
Tonight was our 1-year anniversary and we were heading from dinner to a movie downtown. I went through an intersection when BLAM the truck struck the passenger side of my car between the front and rear doors. The impact rammed my car to the curb, leaving both axles snapped and both driver's side tires totally blown off the rims. The front driver's side rim tore a 2-inch deep groove in the street, the glass in all but the rear window was totally smashed out, and needless to say the car is totaled. I broke a couple of toes and my neck is sore as hell, my girlfriend had to go to the ER for x-rays (we just got home and she's fine aside from soreness) and the driver of the truck was just shaken up. The officer said that if the truck had hit us a foot or two to the right and my girlfriend would be in bad bad shape.
I didn't share this to elicit sympathy, the car was insured and everyone is healthy. I shared this to remind everyone of how life is totally unpredictable and above all else life is precious.
Go hug a loved one, people, and pay attention when you're on the road.

Shit, thank God you're (relatively) OK. I'm going to burn a little incense for you both, just in case.
And your advice is very good. I think I'm going to go kiss my daughter just now.

If you want to burn some incense feel free. Thanks for your concern, Houman.
Definitely go give the youngin' some sugar from her poppa.

Glad to hear you both are ok. Nothing wrong with reminding us how lucky we are to have we have instead of whining about what we don't.

Wow, glad everyone is safe! And you are right, no one knows when the end comes, so we should live each day to its fullest.

I'm glad you're all ok. I lost a family member recently due to a car accident, so I know what you mean by cherishing every moment.

Shit, that is f*cking scary.
Keep an eye on yourself medically, I knew someone in college that something similar happened to and her whiplash was nasty.
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

Good point. One more year of Didio at DC isn't *that* bad...
...is it?
