Is his reasoning that by removing him from the class you're jewing him out of an entire year's worth of college education?

I don't know. If he's acting like a fucknugget in class, he's pretty much jewing himself out of that $4K.

My modern novel prof used to tell some really interesting stories about kids who used to get screwy during his class. Unsurprisingly, all of them got weird when reading D.H. Lawrence...

Yes because his behavior in class which includes sleeping and being woken up by a fellow student to answer a graded question is not really disruptive therefore I am "jewing" him out of that money.

I was full-out snoring during a lecture. Professor had to stop and tell the dude next to me to wake me up.

In my defense, it was called "The Literature of Trauma and Recovery" and was a very heavy class.

Are your ears ok? Did they burst into flame or bleed out when his speech registered in your mind? At least he didn't come at you with sticks and stones, those are murder on bones, IIRC.

But now that you got him dead to rights for committing a Thoughtcrime and now there's no limit to the Authority you can bring to bear on the young man. Show no mercy, make an example for the rest of the students to follow and ...

I would have suggested you forgive his trespasses and turn the other cheek but I know how you people don't go in for all that "tolerance" business.
