Rockman wrote:Near the end of Angel season 2. Didn't like it compared to season 1. Too much time spent on Angel's obsession with Wolfram and Hart, which was totally boring and frustrating. Now however it seems to be back on track.

On like episode 5 of season 6 of Buffy. All the episodes of been okay, but there are some weak things going on. LIke the three nerds being some of the big bads for the season, really not digging that at this point. Especially after the season 4 Jonathon episode where he gave up fame and fortune to do the right thing, just seems odd.

Season 5 as a whole was fantastic. The best of the show aside from season 3, but it is a very close race.

So far I'd say
3
5
2
4
1

It gets better.

Aside from the odd episode, I'm afraid Buffy does not improve after season 5.

The thing is, five episodes in, none of them are bad. It's not great either though. It's there, it's entertaining, but it's not longer must see for me.

Okay so Willow becoming a "drug" addict, her withdrawels, all of that. Ugh.

They really ruined this character, she's just an annoying hippie now.

I've slowed down on Angel a bit. I though the storyline with Pylea was pretty awful and pointless. At least Freddie seems interesting.

Yeah, I wasn't into the whole Pylea thing. Luckily that's the end of the season, really. Next is a lot better.

It has started off strong so far, but I'm still not as motivated. My friend let it slip that season 5 does not have a good end to the series so now I'm bummed.

Season 5 had a great ending IMO.

Let me clarify

he let it slip that Angel didn't become human in the finale. Even though that was the whole point of the show after season 1.

So hopefully the ending is good, and you're a pretty good judge of these things Greg. I'm just bummed that we didn't a resolution to that storyline.

Also I get this feeling that Angel is basically unkillable right now. Since he was already brought back from hell to play a part in the apocolypse, I'd imagine if they did kill him the powers that be would just send him back again.

Well, I will tell you that part of the prophesy does get expanded upon and brought to a main plot at the final season. You'll see how it plays out, but I thought it fit with what was going on so I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I wasn't a big fan of Pylea, either.

Nearly everyone regards the ending to Angel as one of the best. It's certainly better than the ending to Buffy.

Agreed.

The only disappointment was that it was over.

Some of the best lines in the series were in "Not Fade Away".

I won't spoil them for Rockman but some of us know what they are. :D

Fred was the only good thing that came out of Pylea.
