Reading Hunger Games right now. It is an easy read and enjoyable.

Finished:

Review forthcoming, but initial thoughts.. every bit as effin' brilliant as The Gone-Away World, if not moreso. And not as densely written, either. It feels like it borrows pretty heavily thematically, and also in style from people like Gaiman, Pratchett, Christopher Moore, China Mieville, and even his dad Le Carre. A big genre mish-mash that is one of the best books I've read in the last year or two.

Harkaway is 2 for 2.

I am now within 150 pages or so of finishing A Clash of Kings. Going to finish that either tonight or tomorrow, then start the third Game of Thrones book because I hear Season 2 of the show might have elements of book 3 in it as well. Fuck.

I'm reading the first of the Sandman Slim series.

Not a bad supernatural story but it doesn't grab me like the Dresden Files does (maybe the series gets better..? Dreden Files certainly did!). He comes off as too überpowerful to me.

Need suggestions, just throw them out.

If you have not read Ready Player One yet, that should be on the top of your list. That book is super fun and should be right up the alley of anyone on this message board.

I pulled down a sample for my kindle and like it so far, though I'm having issues navigating the footnotes.

I listened to the audio book version so I didn't even know there were footnotes. You don't need them to enjoy the story, that's for sure.

I need a new book.

I'm looking for books for my Nook. Really enjoyed Ready Player One and the Furies of Calderon series. Don't think I'm ready to start Game of Thrones yet. Would like to try Necroscope but I can't find book 1.

Any suggestions?

Reading Ready Player One.

Love the fact that there has not been on 80s reference that I did not get.

About a third of the way through A Storm of Swords. So far, my favorite ASOIAF book.
