The reviews I read said it was good but unexceptional, which is probably fair. I really liked it, but I'm a sucker for giant robots and shit. One really positive review came from a feminist website because they really liked the Japanese girl and her being pretty much the most interesting character.

Yeah, that's what all the reviews I read said. I'd hardly call that being roundly panned -- far from it in fact. I really loved Pacific Rim myself.

I read a couple of articles, don't remember where, that said it wasn't very good, and I guess I shouldn't have listened.

Anyway, I watched it over the weekend and enjoyed it.

I dunno if I'll ever get around to seeing it. It'll hit Netflix eventually and I'll probably break down.

In the mean time, watching some old school horror films from some list of 1970s horror films you should watch if you like that sort of thing.

The second movie is interesting because the killer has telekinetic powers.

Burning Bright - Your typical horror movie about a girl trapped in a house with her autistic brother and a tiger during a hurricane.

What did you not like about it?
It was very melodramatic but still a fun popcorn movie, imo.

It's a good one, if not because of Chuck Conners, then just because of all the creepy mannequins. 8)

I stayed up late and watched Mama last night.

It was pretty good. Had some real creepy and scary moments. Not sure how I felt about the ending though.

This Is The End - Even though I like most of the guys in this film, I have to admit I actually laughed out loud way more than I thought I would.
