Not that I don't have sympathy for these kids being bullied and shit, but I just don't buy the idea that e-bullying is somehow worse than getting punched in the mouth every day for your lunch money.
I think we've developed into a culture or fragile egos and drama queens. That may sound harsh or whatever, but I mean, I remember the last time this was brought up here, and people were making excuses for why you couldn't just turn the fuckin' computer off. Like, oh, it's not that simple.
It fucking-well is that simple.
I'm always gonna think real world bullying is more immediate than online bullshit. I mean, if I get pissed off at some asshole here or at some other board, there's nothing quite so important that I can't just turn the computer off and go fuck my fiance.
And yeah, I understand that kids may not have the same perspective on life as a grown-ass man does who's had to deal with some real world fucked up shit. Maybe that's the fault of the grown-ass adults raising these kids. Both the victims and the bullies. I mean, shit, let's face it. Bullies have some pretty fragile egos themselves, or their dicks wouldn't get hard when they make someone else feel like shit.
Well...it wouldn't be the only way their dicks get hard, at least.
We put so much importance in online bullshit that will only affect us if we allow it to. And maybe parents need to do a better job teaching their kids the difference between a block of text on a screen and a punch to the jaw.

"You must be proud, bold, pleasant, resolute,
And now and then stab, as occasion serves."
