I can't say I'm surprised. She had an amazing voice. I remember back when I saw her sing the national anthem as a kid, I was completely mesmerized by that. Unfortunately, she made some fucked up decisions (hooking up with Bobby Brown, doing drugs with Bobby Brown, having a kid with Bobby Brown, etc). Even though it would be easy to blame Bobby Brown for all of what transpired, she's the one who went along with it therefore there's got to be some accountability on her end. I'm sure there are going to be some people who will make excuses for her erratic behavior like she was "tired", or whatever but the fact of the matter is, the woman needed help and like various other celebrities who died all too soon, she didn't get it until it was too late. She'll go down as a legend in the business but she'll also go down as another tragic figure and it's a shame.

Come on, this is the Outhouse, no one here would make a sick joke at the expense of a dead celebrity! :smt013

She actually had a nice voice (didn't like many of her songs though). Too bad. RIP.

I wonder if the conspiracy theories are out yet. She was apparently on the brink of bankruptcy and was being kept afloat by friends and her record company.

I'm sure certain people stand to make good money now.

And let the wild speculation begin.

One less junkie sob story. She had it all and flushed it. Shes been the butt end of jokes for 15+ years, and Shes been dead since the mid 90s.

When people die, suddenly they're loved. Last week she was just a crackhead has been.

This definitely has some truth to it.

Was a trip. We were talking about her today at dinner. My mom loved her in the 80s. Even had the hair like her.

In all honesty, Glee is doing whitney's version of I Will Always Love You, on tuesday's episode.
