She was an inspiration in the beginning, then a cautionary tale at the end. What a waste.

Xaraan and I went out tonight and didn't know this happened hours later when it showed on ESPN with her singing the Anthem. I was shocked for 10 seconds and then I wondered what drug killed her. How sad is a life that you naturally assume they killed themselves via a bad habit.

Per TMZ, reports have leaked that the LAPD have not found illegal drugs, but did find prescription drugs in her hotel room. Leading theory at this point is that since they found her in the bathtub, she probably drowned after passing out or overdosing on her prescription meds or both.

Looks like it'll probably be a situation similar to Heath Ledger who also died from prescription meds.

In all honesty, Glee is doing Dolly Parton's version of I Will Always Love You, on tuesday's episode.

Fixed for accuracy. Whitney just reminded people the song existed.

And trust me, others have already started talk of a Glee tribute episode.

What's real ridiculous how the media's tripping over themselves to keep drugs out of the conversation even though they all know it either directly or indirectly played a role in how she died. This whole "You're dead so now you're a saint and every bad thing you ever did is forgiven" crap drives me up the wall when it comes to celebrities.

And we'll then see all the family interviews where they all say they tried to help her but she just wouldn't listen and she's a grown woman........blah blah blah.

No one ever helps because people in these situations only surround themselves with yes men and women who will turn a blind eye toward every bad thing you do whether they're actually family or not because they don't want to lose their meal ticket and get money for absolutely nothing.

When people die, suddenly they're loved. Last week she was just a crackhead has been.

I was generally a fan of some of her music, but I do agree with this.

There is a difference in the way the song sounds between dolly's and houston's. Couple that with which actor is singing the song on the show and add the fact the producers are thinking of adding a note to the episode in houston's honor I'd say they are doing houston's version.

At least she chose Houston over Madonna or Lauper.
