Good point.

I guess it all depends on how much GRRM has told the writers for Game of Thrones about what Rickon is actually going to contribute in the end. By the end of book 5, he's done absolutely nothing.

I've heard that Rickon has a larger role in the next book.

I imagine he was supposed to have one originally when GRRM wanted a 5 year timeskip after A Storm of Swords. Now that the timeskip is gone, RIckon is still pretty young to be done anything...

Another great ep, loved Tyrion's ruse with Varys, Littlefinger and Pycelle, such a fun scene, and Dinklage really is bringing it this season.

The introductions to Brienne and Margaery were good too, Brienne is right of the books, and although Margaery is different, I like the changes, she'll be a good opponent for Cersei later on (plus, she looks good naked).

I'm glad that the series is trying to make Theon a bit more sympathetic, for most of Book 2 he was a massive prick, but there is conflict in him that isn't really explored in the books until 5, and some of that has been translated here I think, his not knowing where he belongs.

I think the Theon thing is funny. They made him a huge douche in season 1, and now when they are adapting the book where he is a huge douche they make him nicer for some reason.

Well in Book 1 he hardly did anything, so being a douche in the series was an improvement!

I loved the "I haven't had a proper shit in 6 days" line that was great! Tyrion is one of my favorite characters on TV right now. The way he so easily manipulates people is just brilliant.

That's true, I just assumed that they were doing that to prepare viewers for this season.

It just seems a bit uneven.

They were giving him stuff to do because otherwise we'd forget who he was.

And of course, it makes sense that he'd be more sympathetic when confronting his dad, who is a massive arse.

I dont think he's more sympathetic at this point than he was in the book. Yes, he was a douche for most of book 2, but I felt just as bad for him in the book when he got back to Pyke. His dad and sister shit on him just as much in the books.
