Latest news is terrible.

Possible reactor leak, hugely-elevated radiation levels and workers with radiation sickness.

We are looking at a possible Chernobyl-level event in the making, with little to be done except throw as much cement as possible over it and calling the surrounding 100 miles a dead zone.

Not saying it's unavoidable yet, but it's a very real possibility.

Sheesh, a 7.1 mag 41 miles east of Sendai, not as big as the 9 but stilll...

For those who can't or don't feel like watching the video: About 200 retired Japanese pensioners have volunteered the help clean up the nuclear reactor so young people are not exposed to the radiation.
