Probably just Godzilla moving around.

I think it was actually yesterday (03-11 in Japan) but it's been 4 years since the Fukushima-Daiichi quake… :-(

Sheesh...

7.9 magnitude earthquake rattles Nepal 50 miles from capital, Kathmandu

(CNN)A massive 7.9 magnitude earthquake has struck Nepal less than 50 miles from the capital, Kathmandu, the U.S. Geological Survey said Saturday. Witnesses said people were killed and injured, and historic buildings in Kathmandu had tumbled to the ground.

CNN's Manesh Shrestha, who was himself injured, said he saw five bodies at a hospital. People with severe injuries were being treated outside, with doctors administering CPR on at least one person, Shrestha said.

"It's quite chaotic," he said. "People are wailing, crying."

Shrestha, who needed stitches, was turned away because other people were more seriously injured.

Avalanches were reported on Mount Everest, sending mountaineers running for cover.

Ugh do I have to add explosions/eruptions to the title?

Volcano Eruption Forces Evacuation of Southern Japanese Island

Japan ordered the complete evacuation of an island off its southern prefecture of Kagoshima on Friday, after the Shindake volcano erupted for the second time in 10 months.

Public broadcaster NHK showed clouds of dust and rock exploding from the peak on Kuchinoerabu Jima, which lies about 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) southwest of Tokyo. Ash from the eruption billowed as high as 9,000 meters and rocks flew as far as the island’s coast, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
