So far it's TV and cutscenes. Oh and a Halo TV show.... probably with cutscenes.

Event is over.

Games are going to be done at E3, like they announced days ago (and we covered in the XBox article yesterday), this event was all about the console.

I think I'll skip this generation. Television, Football, Halo, CoD, all packed in a 90 pound plastic box. It's like they crammed everything I don't give a shit about into one convenient package.

Microsoft's new system will allow – and possibly require – games to be installed to the console's 500GB hard drive, which locks a piece of software to an account, the report states. Once installed, players do not require a disc to boot the software. If a game is used with a second account, that owner will be given the option to pay a fee and install the experience on their own console, Microsoft told Wired. Whether "account" means an entirely new console or another Xbox Live account on the same console, is unclear.

WTF is this rank?

Postby MrBlack » Tue May 21, 2013 1:40 pm

I like some of the ideas Microsoft is continuing to pursue with this console (Kinect, interconnectivity with other devices, using the cloud to stream game data, etc.), but none of it is enough to lull me into buying another console at this point in my life, particularly since most of the game I really enjoy playing are available on PC as well as consoles.

I think I'll play through my backlog of games for the systems that I have for the time being, and once Fallout 4 is announced I'll just invest in a gaming PC for the den.

Also not backwards compatible with XBLA games or retail games.

I can't say that anything about this really interests me. Maybe I'm just getting old but when I buy a video game console, it's because I want to play video games. I don't really care about all the additional crap.
