Wow I was going through my external HD tonight and totally forgot about my favorite TMV album, Bedlam in Goliath.

You know that year that System of a down released those 2 albums like 4-5 months apart?

They went on a tour to promote both albums and talked Mars Volta into being their opener, I was already a fan but goddamn are they incredible live.

Sadly system fans, especially in the Massachusetts area are giant fucking morons and were bitching about them and calling them a shitty band.

In philly, all the system fans were totally stoked about TMV after their performance. They almost stole the show.

It is my experience that arena/stadium crowds are some of the most completely intolerant to opening acts. No matter who they are.

What's amazing is how straight forward it is considering weird Frances was. And Amputecture is just pretty good. But damn Bedlam is awesome.

I also listened to De-Loused for the first time in I don't know how long today and must have listened to Haunt of the Roulette Dares about a half dozen times in a row. Holy shit I forgot how great the dynamics of that song are.

I agree with this whole post
Vinny (of the moleholeradio show) listened to the new album a bit over the weekend with me and as we were listening to a zed and two naughts he said something I thought was pretty funny " If I played a drum beat like that I think my leg would fall off" haha
I really do think that the drumming on the album is what stands out the most that and of course Juan Alderete's incredible bass work to be able to play along with the beats that are played is amazing.
