Young Justice New God Question

Postby Zechs » Sat May 05, 2012 12:18 am

Okay due to the podcast saying Tim Curry was voicing a character I had to go watch the episode. Though being the character is G. Gordon Godfrey we know he's from the New Gods. This show is supposedly taking place on one of the 52 worlds right? So doesn't that mean that all the New God characters are all the same appearing and invading Earth One and Two are the same ones doing the same here on this show's Earth? So doesn't that mean.. ugh.. the Darkseid who'll appear will be the Jim Lee version? Or did DC change that whole New Gods exist in each universe policy?

So there's just one version of the New Gods for the 52 universes?

That's what it was originally pre Nu52. Is it still?

the producers of the show went out of their way to say it was Earth 16... so it is one of the 52 universes...

Exactly. Apoklips we know has been attacking Earth's One to Two. We've had New God technology and characters show up in Young Justice. Now we have Tim Curry voicing a possible New God.

The way I am given to understand it, throughout ALL incarnations of the Transformers, there is only ONE Fallen. He exists in all realities simultaneously. For example, the Fallen who was in the second movie, is the exact same entity who might show up in the Shattered Glass universe, or in a future attack on the beast wars universe.

So yes, there is always going to be the possibility that The Fallen might show up, working with Megatron against Optimus Primal... and reference the Michael Bay movie. And it's totally canon.

Edit: Yep, he's considered a multiversal singularity.

Doesn't matter. The only new gods who don't suck are Big Barda and Scott Free. Everybody else is crap.

Young Justice was started before Flashpoint and the DCnU. Therefore, one must logically conclude that a) when Darkseid and/or the rest of the New Gods arrive, they will be the pre-DCnU versions and b) the Young Justice continuity is better than the DCnU.

This raises a good point. It is possible that Young Justice, thanks to Flashpoint, doesn't actually exist anymore...
