Kirkman isn't really that great at all. Especially Invincible nowadays.

First off Venom was really cool up until about Amazing Spider-Man 375 or so. Not my fault Marvel dragged him to a slow painful death. Admittedly he's not someone I think I'd keep on my list. I was racking my brain to think of some good villains who appeared since 1968. Didn't even think of Helmut or sadly Darkseid(who I'm definitely going add now).

T'Challa was created in 1966.

Then why did you buy it? You could've dropped some dough on an indy book or two that might've been more enjoyable? :?

I'd rather bathe in a tub of diarrhea than read most Indy books.

Also, in the immortal words of Ashy Larry, I'm rich, beeyotch! ;) I can afford to blow 3 bucks a month on Bat-Morrison in hopes he'll give me another story like his first League of Batmen 3-parter.

Sadly, they're becoming scarce. I doubt Sirius can afford to reprint them as they go OOP either. The 1-4 phonebook along with 5 and 6 are available on Amazon for now.

I might order myself new copies of 5 and 6 before they run out as I think the pages are starting to fall out of mine. :-(

There's a decent number of indy books you buy.

I mean, don't you buy like half of what is printed by Boom?

I think because you like old school superheroes so much, and because you don't worship at the alter of guys like Morrison or Ellis and have bad things to say about stuff like Preacher, people assume you just hate anything outside of DC and Marvel.

:smt011

Go blow some dough on The Light TPB and then come back to me. Better yet...

$20 Daytripper trade/ 10 issues = $2 an issue + bonus features = a steal.

I'm just curious why a grown man would knowingly spend money on something that he hates on so much.
