I cut your response from where my argument begins. I think you can get blame people for making mistakes this costly. His punishment is he has to live with what he's done. Thats enough for me.

That we all have to live with the consequences of our actions is something we can both agree upon.

If Zimmerman actually acted in the manner he and the jury say he did, I would like to have a few more Zimmerman's in my neighborhood.

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths that people will go to to justify shooting a kid.

It'd be funny if it wasn't so sad.

Hab,

You would let a "kid" bash your skull into the curb, even if you confronted him in error?

This is big talk for someone who has disregarded literally every testimony and piece of evidence in lieu of a single medical officer's " Nothing that couldn't be covered with some bandages" quote.

Disregarded =/= disbelief.

At least I watched the whole trial.

ReturnoftheMack wrote:Why do you guys keep saying I want to demonize Zimmerman? If I did, I would be calling for his head and saying he's guilty of murder. I don't know why I have to repeat myself: the man is not guilty of murdering Trayvon.

But what he did was make a bad decision based off a flawed assumption. I don't get why this is so controversial. :smt102

Because people are incapable of recognizing that this issue can be viewed from more than two extreme, polar perspectives, so if you don't think Zimmerman was a racist murderer then you are a racist yourself, and if you don't think that Martin was a bloodthirsty, drug-crazed Thug who needed Zimmerman, a hero, to take him down for the good of society, then you are a guilty white race baiter.

I wasn't aware that this was a contest. :smt017

All i know is that i couldn't bring myself to watch the trial, especially with how the media was treating it. Also, i was working during most of the trial so i didn't really have a chance. But if you sat down and watched hours of people you consider to be "lying" pick apart your side, wouldn't that just make you angry? I guess i don't understand the motivation, especially if you had your mind made up already based on nothing but a hunch.

I was just pointing out how pathetic your response was.

I'm tempted to do it again, but, I think it's just a waste of time.

considering he'd done burglary before. Just as he'd attacked people before. Nor did Zimmerman suggest that. I did. All Zimmerman said was that Martin was acting suspicious, like he was on drugs, (the latter was certainly true---in addition to the weed in his system, he was an admitted lean addict).

Can you cite some proof that he committed burglary?

Even if Martin wasn't under the influence at the moment, he still could have been acting "paranoid", as Zimmerman pointed out.

Zimmerman doesn't really have the expertise to be able to make that call.
