Agreed, these drab character-centric covers are overdone and fetishistic, all leather and veins, and an unhealthy sign of a diminishing aesthetic diversity in the medium that these blandly-composed tracings appeal to so many comics fans.

I was referring to the costume design, not the artistic composition. I'll be more clear next time.
