A slave owner’s illegitmate son becomes a voodoo-controlled zombie thing in post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans.

Mike Carey’s a fantastic writer and Voodoo Child #1 is no exception. The issue’s a good start-up issue as it tells you everything you need to know while making the story interesting which seems to be a hard thing to do for most writers. Art-wise, overall it’s pretty good and reminds me of Don Kramer’s work but sometimes the panels look a bit too dark. Overall, I definitely recommand this issue.
