TC, Jude, RU (me), and Blue describe all fanboys like this, not just DC

you should see what we tell Jude he can't say about Firefly fans

Up and coming Indie writer, has done critically acclaimed stuff for Image like Change and Wild Children.

Suicide Squad was his first Big Two work, and his first 2 issues (#20 and #21) were really good.

I hope he gets a gig at Marvel now, they actually allow writers some degree of freedom.

So DC doesn't have a problem keeping writers happy is what you're saying?

It's a loss for DC readers, but then Matt Kindt is also one of the best newer writers himself as Kot acknowledged with class in his announcement.

Ales Kot is too good for the likes of (current) DC Comics, I look forward to Zero and anything else he does. I am sure it's off to bigger and better things for him.

Kot is a young writer, but an unusually intellectually thoughtful one. Everyone concerned about issues currently in the forums like the gov't spy programs and instability around the globe should buy the new book Zero. Kot says, in an iFanboy interview, "ZERO begins in 2018; certain conflicts rage on, the global warming is still with us, there is an ongoing dialog between freedom of privacy and government-sanctioned spying on private citizens."

If that doesn't hook you and make you want to buy the book I dunno what will, but the rest of the interview: http://ifanboy.com/articles/preview-ale ... -and-zero/

There there. I do feel for you. I was once a DC fan like you. But then I realized the fools running the asylum should be ousted. You too should leave until the fools running the asylum are booted too. Saves you money on indy books that don't change creative teams three issues after the book starts.

Unfortunately, it's the group of blind supporters that keep idiots screwing things up at DC. People think they are 'supporting' a product they love, when all they are actually doing in encouraging it to be screwed with by way of supporting it no matter what's done with the product. Granted, maybe you think all the decisions that have been posted on the whole "hasdc..." thing are genius moves, but most don't.

Nobody needs to be run off, but being an OHer, then you should be knowledgeable enough to know that the stuff we write isn't about a pissing match. That's something someone that pops in for one articles and knows 10% of the story usually has to say.

I love how the Inner Circle here keeps side-stepping the issue

I never said one fucking word about how or why Ales was let go. I objected to DC fans and supporters being equated to "morons". And since that phrase was later edited CLEARLY someone here felt that it was inappropriate.

If folks want to spend their money on DC products that's their business. If you guys want to continue your"DC Is Stupid" smear campaign, that's your business.

But it's not cool to insult the DC readers and posters here and sure as fuck didn't help that you suggested that I am/we are 90% in-the-dark.
"One article" ?
"Not a pissing match" ?
Really ? Then please educate those of us who obviously completely misinterpreted the content of the Front Page here including little tid-bits such as, for example, this:

The rulebook also states that the cover passes the sexism test because "Milo Manara art is in good taste, no matter what," and because "we're biased towards Marvel", both of which are probably true as well.

I'm pretty sure everyone in this thread reads some DC books (myself included- and someone that just picked up Suicide Squad because of Kot).

If you can't pick up the context of what "morons" meant in that article, you probably should leave (or not read front page articles). That seems relatively minor for this place. That it's such an issue for you says more about you than anyone in this thread.
