It's too late to save Green Arrow. The book is dead. The same goes for Katana. It's Ann Nocenti a writer who all but killed Green Arrow and is sucking the marrow dry on Catwoman. The only reason they're doing this is given Katana's part in Beware the Batman. This is a natural disaster just waiting to be unleashed. There is nothing good that can come of this.

So instead of bringing back characters people want like Wally, Donna, Cassandra, Stephanie, etc, DC decides to give two d-list characters their own series which is cancellation bound after a few issues? Sigh, do these guys ever learn? Although I do like Katana, it would have been better to have just brought back the Outsiders as a series and have her join team instead. As for Vibe, does anyone really give a shit about him as a character? I certainly don't.

As mentioned, I care about the REAL Vibe and think he could carry a series; same for the REAL Katana. The DCnU versions of those two are as meaningless as the rest of the nU.

I do not know enough to say one way or the other how the stories are going to be about but right now I just have a lack of interest in these characters.

Katanna might last long. Maybe twelve issues and I'm being kind. They'll keep it afloat so when Beware the Batman hits they can have, "Hey kids you want to read more? Read this book starring her!"

I wouldn't be surprised that suddenly Nu52 Katanna now has the same origins as Beware the Batman's version. Heck they might even decide to screw Morrison some more and decide to redo all the Outsiders' origins with this ongoing.

I personally never cared about Vibe but I do like Katana myself. However, it would have been better to have brought back the Outsiders as a team and book and put her in it as she as always been an integral part of that franchise.

While like the idea of doing a diverse characters like Katanna and Vibe as new ongoing titles I just think what hurts these books are these character are too low in interest for fans is that already out the gate they are destined to struggle with becoming a success plus the creative teams are not strong enough to lure in fans for their names alone.

If they were to screw over anyone's incarnation of the Outsiders I would rather it be Didio's abysmal run from 2 years ago. Them undoing the garbagefest on his run in the New 52 I would be all for.

I like Katana in Birds of Prey. Never heard of her before that. I like that I never really payed attention to DC in the past, it allows me to not flip the fuck out when they change shit around for the Nu52.
