Another Big DC Crossover On The Way?

Postby nietoperz » Tue Aug 18, 2009 6:45 am

I’m told that something big and Dan DiDio-shaped is expected from DC at the end of the year. That Blackest Night is just the beginning. And we may be looking at a crossover that makes Civil War look like an eight-page backup strip.

It's Johnston what do you expect?

Another cross-over - that's easily predictable by EVERYONE. Big whoop.

If you want an exclusive try this one (which is just as reliable (and researched) as his)...

I'm in Manhattan this week for work and I'm staying in the Crown Plaza in Times Square which gives me a line of sight to the DC offices across from the Ed Sullivan Theatre (all true).

In a third story window is a picture of Kyle Rayner. There were then people leaving the building talking about stuff.

This can only mean one of two things -
1) that Kyle Rayner will be featured in an upcoming comic book, or
2) that Alan Moore is coming back to rework his Twilight of the Gods mini drawn by Frazetta with inks by Michaelangelo (with color seperations by Van Gogh).

I hope it's Earth vs. New Krypton with Superman caught in the middle.

That would make sense, and it has been building for a while now.

Maybe everyone dies in Blackest Night, but then we (the readers) get a viewshift, revealing that the DCU since Infinite Crisis was actually dead, and the Black Lanterns are actually reviving everyone (distorted p.o.v.) and restoring the DCU to Pre-Crisis Earth.

And then the big event is the Post-Crisis DCU trying to bring back their reality, fighting against the Pre-Crisis DCU.

One of the videos on NuRama had some DC guy talking about the Superman titles (I forget who) briefly blurting out "War is good for business).

I just hope this ends up a few thousand less Kryptonians hanging around. Mabye the dumbest part of Geoff Johns crummy Last Son era Supes.

And it would seem to hopefully have James Robinson, Greg Rucka and Geoff Johns doing it. I'm onboard for that.

If there is one. . and I have to agree with the others it would make sense if it was tied to Superman with New Krypton.

That would actually be pretty cool, if not for the fact that I'm utterly burnt out on the Crisis stuff.

What sucks is that I don't know which one I'd root for to win.
Pre-Crisis:
The real Kara Zor-El
New Teen Titans
Kangaroo Bondage Paradise Island
Donna Troy's origin made sense
satellite era JLA
Barbara Gordon, Batgirl

Post-Crisis:
Kyle Rayner
Superman triangles
Jack Knight
Linda Danvers
Justice League Elite
Barbara Gordon, Oracle
Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I am so sick of crossovers especially by DC. Marvel's at least seem to have a direction and purpose.
