Yeah, that's right.

You really should be getting the singles for the series, though. The back matter is fantastic.

I would but I'm tired of single issues. Besides, I hate playing catch-up and I absolutely love hardcover comics.

I understand, but 3-4 pages of 'liner notes' from both Fraction and the artist explaining the inspirations and thought process that went into them is pretty awesome.

I completely understand why people would be sick of singles, but I think Casanova and Criminal are exceptions because the back matter is so rich.

I don't know if I can wait anymore. I may have to check ebay for the singles.

You won't be sorry.

Here, just to make you a little more crazy, issue #14 has a suggested song list that you're supposed to listen to while you read. Remember how SCUD used to do that? Anyway, that kind of thing. The song titles are in the actual issue, but the artists are only listed in the back matter, so I'm kind of curious how they're going to handle that in the trade. So, as a service to you, the readers of Casanova, and as mentioned above, to make you want to buy the singles. Here is that list, whited out to let those of you who'd rather avoid it, avoid it.

1.Paper Planes/MIA from KALA
2.Young Folks/Peter, Bjorn, and John from Writer's Block
3.You Only Live Once/The Strokes from First Impressions on Earth
4.The Beat That My Heart Skipped/Dan Le Sac vs. Scroobius Pip
5.Ashes to Ashes/David Bowie from Scary Monsters
6.7 Stars/The Apples In Stereo from New Magnetic Wonder
7.Woke Up New/The Mountain Goats from Get Lonely
8.Evil Will Prevail/The Flaming Lips from The Clouds Taste Metallic
9.Six Days/DJ Shadow from The Private Press
10.River Deep, Mountain High/Ike and Tina Turner from River Deep Mountain High
11.To Catch a Thief/Lovage from Music to Make Love to you Old Lady By
12.She Will Only Bring you Happiness/McClusky from The Difference Between Me and You is that I'm Not On Fire
13.Taxman/The Beatles from Revolver
14.Execution Day/The New Pornographers from Mass Romantic

Same, I'm getting in the habit of buying monthly comics again every once in a while.

I just looked them up on youtube and played them while I read. It's certainly net, but not necessary. The main problem being that it takes way less time to read the sections than it does to listen to the songs, and McCluskey is always awesome.

I thought the call back to Taxman from the first issue(I think, it might have been the second) was cool, too.
