Archaia Commits to Release FCBD Hardcovers Next Year, Speculators Rejoice

Almost as unsurprising as an Avengers 2 announcement...

According to fly in the ointment Rich "Scoop" Johnston, Archaia has committed to releasing a hardcover for Free Comic Book Day every year. This year's offering, which is still trending highly on eBay, was the cat's pajamas and was all the watercooler rage the following Monday.

Johnston stated the FCBD offering resulted in higher orders which made the decision a no-brainer.

When contacted, one comic book speculator informed the Outhouse that he's already begun building a second home off the profits of this year's books and that he planned to hijack one of Diamond's shipments to ensure that his profits would increase next year.

Mouse Guard was a hardcover? :shock:

I ordered that from DCBS but I don't get my comics until the end of the month.

It's really sweet. Mouse Guard story plus a bunch of other stories as well.

I found out my shop had ordered quite a few to get David to come for a signing. He's one of the people selling them online to offset the cost of having the inhouse appearance.

I ordered it from DCBS too but was so paranoid about them getting allocated because of the demand for them everywhere I picked up an extra one during FCBD from one of the stores here.

So I will have an extra one I will no doubt try to see if I can get a little profit from. And as long they keep putting Henson stories in the books, I'll keep asking for them.
