Marvel plans to have more heroes hit each other this April!
Marvel announced today that next summer's event will focus on the Avengers fighting the X-Men over Hope Summers. Marvel announced that the Phoenix force, last seen killing Terrax the Tamer in
Point One, will be heading to Earth in search of a host. Cyclops, Wolverine and the rest of X-Men, having experience with celestial forces possessing redheads, are hoping to prepare and protect Hope Summers, who they believe will end up hosting the Phoenix. However, Captain America and Iron Man want to make vague "hand her over to us"-esque plans to protect the world from getting eaten. The series, which will involve Great One Brian Bendis, Matt Fraction, Jason Aaron, Ed Brubaker, Jonathan Hickman, Olivier Coipel, John Romita Jr., and a Kubert, will be bi-weekly and run for twelve issues starting in April, with a zero issue being released in March.
The last time the X-Men and the Avengers entered into a philosophical discussion about the fate of a mutant, the mutant race was decimated and eventually forced them to abandon their home in Westchester. The Outhouse hopes that this event will force Wolverine and Cyclops to remove the respective sticks up their asses and use them to beat Captain America, who still doesn't know what a Myspace is.
