Quasar under Mark Gruenwald was one of the best things that came out of 90's comics.

Hah. So strange to imagine, much less see, a Mignola Quasar cover.

Quasar was pretty good. I liked the Squadron Supreme stuff.

I love Mignola's covers on the X-men Classic (or Classic X-men?) run. Those were awesome.

It was thanks to Operation Galactic Storm (which was named so to capitalize on the Operation Desert Storm name, kids!) was an okay story. Japan apparently liked it enough to release a video game about it.

For some reason, this makes me want to play that old Spider-Man arcade game with Black Cat and Namor.

I didn't give up new comics.

Just new Marvel and DC comics.

You guys are nuts. Quasar was such a lame character. I hoped he died.

In all seriousness though, yeah the Galactic Storm issues of Quasar aren't the series best. However, issues #1-25 are among some of my favourite stuff Marvel published in the 90s.

Didn't I do a revue of this awhile back? Part one anyway. Haven't seen how it ends
I love how every issue conveniently led into the next. So tidy

I read it a couple of years ago and I enjoyed it. :smt102

I remember really disliking Iron Man's suit in this.

And I liked the Quasar issues too, great art!

It ends in tears. Yours. Because you wasted so much time.

He did die for a little bit and was replaced by the original Captain Marvel's daughter Phyla Vell before he got brought back to life.

Retro cool, sure. But nothing to write home about. Unless you're talking about the goddamn hilarious Cap dialogue...
