Actually, I don't think that's true. Tony Stark used the Phoenix energy signature he found on Nova to map the Phoenix's trajectory. It stands to reason that he knew the path the Phoenix took went through existing planets.

Well, since Dark Phoenix was only known to kill one planet (and that was just a bi-product of super-nova'ing a sun), I think it would be a wild conjecture to assume that the Phoenix was killing inhabited planets on it's path. I can see Tony thinking that... and he'd be RIGHT but it's still all assumption without any proof and all based on the warnings of a random Human Rocket that no one has ever met before and made his debut Earth appearance (as a Nova) by smashing into New York City, right through the Chrysler Building, and I'm guessing causing more than just property damage.

I'd really like to know why the Phoenix Force is suddenly pretending it's Galactus. That seems to be a massive rewrite to what was previously a mostly benevolent Force that kind of stayed out of trouble and out of the spotlight. Hopefully that's explained somewhere during this event.

I can't think of any worse plans he's come up with and we're talking about a guy who abandoned his command position when Washington D.C. was under attack to do... no one really knows. But he DID jump out of a Quincarrier. That was probably fun.

(no, BK, I'm never letting this go. :P)

Maybe Wolverine will see Cap on his way down.

You have a selective memory. I had to dig out X-Force #13 but he told Hope

And finally "For if you survive, nothing survives."

Bastion just used the messiah title because that was the term used to describe her.

Bastion tells his whole team, Hodge, Stryker, Trask etc, that the mutant messiah has returned and must be killed in the first issue of second comind, so he considers her the mutant messiah:

"Mutant Messiah" to me always seemed to be a title. One that was thrown around very freely in the X-Books. There's enough to go both ways.

It was the whole theme to a three part series, so I think they threw it around for a reason.

And wasn't it revealed at the end of Cable that Bishop was actually the mutant responsible for annihilating a large portion of the planet?

From what I remember Bishop annihilated the world that was a few millennia into the future, not the one he grew up in. Not the one he grew up hating Hope in.

I just hope we get a decent ending here.

I really enjoyed the Cable series and hope they put some forethought into wherever we end up at the end of this.

The thought of tossing hope into space and have a Planet Hope storyline has some appeal.

Great, the ONE fight that would have been cool (Magick vs Strange) was off-panel :x

And on Limbo, there was no way Strange laid a hand on Illyana.

Wolverine is a douche.
However, Liefeld is an enigma wrapped in a pouch-filled, muscular, footless conundrum.

It'll probably be in Versus.

Agree I think it is with the gambit cap fight.

Eventually this will all end with everyone teaming, kicking the Phoenix's ass and everyone being all "We're sorry, we were both wrong."

Just like every other vs. comic in the history of vs. comics.
