I don't think Cyclops' intentions were ever at question... wanting to reignite the mutant race isn't a bad thing. Wanting to protect your people isn't a bad thing.

But the risks he took/takes, and his fuck-everyone-else attitude don't make up for that.

did you not read Uncanny this week?? Cytorrak refuses to release Piotr because he's done a much better job as his avatar then Cain EVER did. Piotr then tried to use the Phoenix Force to make Cytorrak release him, but since they were in Cytorrak's dimension the Phoenix Force did absolutely nothing.

Uh, did you read my comment carefully? I was just expressing a desire that I wish would come through given the fact that I did read this issue this week. Also, how in the hell is Cytorrak more powerful than the Phoenix now? The Phoenix force should have wiped his influence out with ease.

If the phoenix force was dealing with Cytorrak in the actual marvel universe it would, but it in his dimension where he makes the rules, he's the powerful being in that universe..

Here's whats kind of fucked up about the whole Phoenix Five fixing the world thing.. if mutants ever actually cared about any of that, they could've easily done that before. How many weather controlling mutants are there? How many mutants capable of dismantling nuclear powers?

There've been mutants capable of controlling the entire world telepathically.. mutants capable of bending reality to their whims.. the Phoenix Five are doing something which, quite frankly, the X-Men could've probably done anyway throughout the years without the Phoenix force backing them. But they didn't.

They SHOULD be focusing on bringing mutants back, like Scott originally wanted, which started this whole fucking mess.. instead, they've become power hungry and want nothing more than to show their dominance over the planet. :smt102
