Bill Jemas Is Back, Back Again, Tell A Friend About His New Comics Company

Comics felt so empty without him.

Bill Jemas, the man who navigated Marvel Comics out of bankruptcy and led Double Take Comics into the footnotes of history, has returned with a new comics publisher: Artists, Writers and Artisans, Inc.

The company has received $5 million in funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners, an early investor in Snapchat. AWAI is also looking to secure about $2.5 million, potentially from a TV network or movie studio, presumably in exchange for IP first-looks.

The company is rumored to have former Marvel editor-in-chief Axel Alonso in charge of editorial.,

Wow, ya had me w/Jemas returning to the biz,... THEN, ya lost w/Alonso -so that means Artists, Writers and Artisans, Inc. will create heroes based on ethnicity, and religion, and gender first, following brand identity and consensus driven stories second, and then we get to have tittles from Artists, Writers and Artisans, Inc. with headliners like "All New", and "All New Now", and "All New Point One Now",.. meh, ...thats a hard pass on Artists, Writers and Artisans, Inc....
