meh. i tried the first trade. it was OK, and i love Jamie's appearances elsewhere (B&B, Manhunter, Teen Titans), but that first 6 issues really did nothing to make me want to pick up subsequent stuff. it may very well be better now, but it started SO damn slow. i loved Booster from the first issue and it has never let up.

Once Rogers took over as writer it got a lot better for a lot of folks. For some reason some folks didn't enjoy the book under Giffen as much. I'd suggest checking out the second trade which should be all Rogers.

I love Blue Beetle.

The issues with him battling the Reach were sweet.

I think Giffen was slowly moving out during the second trade but he's definitely gone from the third trade.

John wrote Issue #7 alone. He co-wrote with Keith on Issues #8-10. Then he went solo for good with Issue #11.

Are you guys liking Blue Beetle with Matt Sturges on board?

It's only been one issue, but I liked it and think it's setting up a fun story. I loved the scene with his family watching his interview on TV.

He has the characters down right so far which makes me happy. But with only 1 issue in I can't really say much.

I just read all the issues of Booster Gold in one sitting, and I have to say that it's even better than I thought it was. I'm even sadder that Katz and Johns have left the book now!

That's how I felt after reading the last 4 issues.
