Got my box!

Captain America #3
Captain America and Bucky #622
Daredevil #3 & #4
FF #9
Secret Avengers #17
Action Comics #1 & #2
All-New Batman: The Brave and the Bold #11
Batman #1
Batwoman #1
Detective Comics #1 & #2
Justice League Dark #1
Justice League International #1 & #2
Legion Lost #1
Legion of Super-Heroes #1
Stormwatch #1 & #2
Superman #1
Swamp Thing #1 & #2
Buffy The Vampire Slayer #1
iZombie #17 & #18
American Vampire TP Vol 1.

The problem is that with the New 52 creating the need for a complete pull-list overhaul, my LCS guy seems to have become confused and sent me stuff that used to be on my pull but isn't anymore ('Tec, Buffy, Batwoman). I may keep Batwoman, though, as it's a thing of beauty.

I'm not sure... I'm on the fence for the relaunch... Also, I don't see how to fit it into my budget.

I read Supergirl over the weekend. Incredible artwork and a crappy/uninspired decompressed story. I'm going to give it one more issue and give up if it doesn't take me more than 3 minutes to read. Might be better in trade format.

I haven't read them all, but so far I'm pretty happy with the DCnU books in my box. Stormwatch kind of stood out, though I have to admit to never having read the original Wildstorm book. I was blown away by Batwoman, so I'm pretty happy that it was sent to me in error. It's definitely staying on my pull.

Read Wonder Woman #1 yesterday. LOVE the art. Chiang is one of my favorites. Again, though, and this should be no surprise given the writer, I don't feel like I got enough story for my money. Yes, this story is better than Supergirl's story, but it was still too short. Also, it's too explicitly violent. Clearly it's just me but I'd really rather comics go back to being a little more "all ages". You can almost always get the same points across without being explicit. Sometimes, it's even better to leave things to the imagination. Anyway, I'll stick for another issue or so but I really don't want to support decompressed storytelling...

I think I'm going to drop Secret Avengers. I was looking forward to Warren Ellis' run, but it's pretty middling as it turns out.

It's not very good at all, no.

I'm really amazed at how disappointing it is. He seems to be trying to channel JLA-era Morrison and failing dismally.

I liked the McKelvie issue a lot, big improvement over the Spencer FI issues. Haven't read any of the others yet.

Got my box yesterday!

Also, read Mr. Terrific 1 & 2. I don't know why, but I dig Mr. T. I'm a fan of the science/inventor crime fighter. I loved it when Engelhart had Hank Pym go down this road in West Coast Avengers.

I really liked these comics. Good, meaty stories with nice, solid art. I'm in on this though I suspect I'm one of the few who are. I haven't read any good reviews of this, which is a shame. I think these are very good comics.

I'm gonna keep telling you guys what I thought of various New 52 books and hopefully you guys will tell me what you thought once you read them!

I read Batgirl #2 yesterday and loved it. It starts out with a very brief recap (as all comics should IMHO) and then has great action and great dialog. The whole book transpires over more than 5 minutes of action. The art is really nice, though there were some small panels where I couldn't tell exactly what was happening (like one panel where Babs runs into the side of a car). This is a good comic!

I also read Animal Man #1. I really liked this one too. I've never read Animal Man before but I feel like I know him. He seems more "human" than most DC characters. His interactions with his family rung true to me. This is very well written. And the art by Travel Forman, which is definitely not "main stream," is perfect for the mood of this book. This book is gorey too, but I don't have a problem with it. I did on Wonder Woman because she's a "main" character and an icon. Her stories should be suitable for all readers. Animal Man is the kind of comic that should be reserved for the strictly older crowd.

Can't wait to hear what you guys think of the books. The New 52 clearly has ME fired up about comics in a way I haven't been for a while.

Hey anyone using MOC,

what was your shipping date for your month end shipment?

Mine has a date of 11/14 which means it won't ship to Monday does that seem right or has anyone already got theirs?

Thanks guys
