I say. Good show old man! I continue to really like all of these.

Previews

I gave up on this a while back. I rely on the internet and you dudes to keep me from missing anything now!

National Comics: Looker

Enter Looker. Exit Batman. Exit Midas from Batman and the Outsiders (or Adventures of the Outsiders or whatever it became). Wish I stuck with it, if just for the Alan Davis art. I didn't really like it as a youngster, but he's one of my favorites nowadays.

Muppets
Courtney Crumrin
Frankenstein, Agent of SHADE
Wasteland
Dark Horse Presents

Kudos for collecting these cool comics that I only wish I had room in my budget for. You support good stuff.

Of course, you also support these... :smt102

Before Watchmen: Rorschach
Before Watchmen: Dr. Manhattan

Should have ordered it on Amazon like I did. Heck you were the one who gave me the link! :D

I'm probably done with DHP though. Every story they do that I want eventually gets collected either as a #0 for an upcoming mini or its own one shot. They even just solicited Evan Dorkin's stuff as a House of Fun one-shot. And they've already said upcoming stories (X and Captain Midnight) are going to mini format with #0's covering the DHP material. DH made it irrelevant on their own.

As for Before Watchmen........... :P Moore's not always right.

Well crap the rest didn't make it. Let's see for Grendel I said:

Should have ordered it on Amazon like I did. Heck you were the one who gave me the link!

And for Previews I said I'm anally obsessive about my collection that I need to keep the book around and mark everything in it for when its late.

Just got my shipping notice. I'm sure it won't always work out this well, but this month I had nothing expected to ship in the last week any way so going with the week 3 option means I get all the same books I would have gotten any way under the normal shipping option.

So far, I'm a fan of this new system.

Got my BOC today. Already read Archer & Armstrong #2 and liked it a lot better than #1. It's veering back into the territory that made the first version of A&A so good. Yes that is a belated FCBD book that took them forever to ship. I had actually written it off so...score! I have absolutely nothing shipping this week so the early shipping really benefited me this month (though I'm sure it will bite me at some point in the future too).

FCBD 2012 YO GABBA GABBA FREE COMIC BOOK TIME (Net)

LOVE AND ROCKETS NEW STORIES TP VOL 05 (C: 0-1-2)

When DCBS switched their shipping options I stayed with the fourth Wednesday. I got my shipment faster than ever. I got it Friday when I normally get them on Saturday using FedEx. When I used to get my comics shipped with UPS I wouldn't get my order until the following week, around Tuesday.

Love the third week shipping option. Got my BOC on Monday:

MAN-THING OMNIBUS HC DM VAR ED
GI JOE A REAL AMERICAN HERO TP VOL 05
CYBER FORCE #1 (Net) *Special Discount* Limit 2 free copies per customer.
HARBINGER (ONGOING) #5 SUAYAN CVR
X-O MANOWAR (ONGOING) #6 BRAITHWAITE CVR
ARCHER & ARMSTRONG (NEW) #3 LOZZI CVR
BLOODSHOT (ONGOING) #4 LOZZI CVR

As usual, all Valiant titles were on time and none ever ship in the last week of the month so I got the full haul. It may not last forever, but among the many things I appreciate about the New Valiant is that ability to meet their deadlines. I hope they can keep it up!

That Man Thing Omnibus is monstrous (pun intended). Can't wait to read it. I'm coming at the character completely cold. Am I crazy to have spent $75 on something I have no sense for whether it will be good or not (other than that people generally seem to love Gerber as a writer)? We'll find out...in 20 years when I finally read this beast!

And now......Oct's box! But first, funny delivery story.

Shipped out actually on Wed given a Tues delivery date. But a random decision to track the package showed Fed Ex delivered it on Sat! But I was home on Sat. No package at my door. I immediately knew where it had to be because the delivery services occasionally deliver my packages to a different condo location with the same unit # on it, but listed with a different street address. Sure enough, I went over there, and there the box was among all the other packages they leave outside their unit. (The HOA once sent me a letter meant for them saying I was in violation of the HOA because of all those same packages they leave out. I had to call them to say wrong address.) Brought the box home, all was well in the world once again. :-D Inside said box (Including the first week of Oct's books that actually shipped with the Sept box because......well cause I want to dammit!):

Anyone else get a badly cut issue of Scarlet Spider #10?

It's 3/4 the size of a regular comic.

Are they pulling the "let's shrink the book and see if anyone notices" thing again?
