My monthly box has shipped and will be here on Monday! Here's what I should be getting.

USAGI YOJIMBO TP VOL 27 TOWN CALLED HELL (C: 0-1-2)
DISNEY MICKEY MOUSE COLOR SUNDAYS HC VOL 01 CALL WILD (C: 1-
PROPHET TP VOL 02 BROTHERS
FF TP VOL 01 FANTASTIC FAUX NOW *Special Discount*
MOUSE GUARD HC VOL 03 BLACK AXE (C: 0-0-2)
X-O MANOWAR (VU) #14 (PD) REG LOZZI
GI JOE A REAL AMERICAN HERO TP VOL 07
GLORY TP VOL 02 WAR TORN (MR)
GUNNERKRIGG COURT HC VOL 04 MATERIA MATERIA (C: 0-0-2)
HARBINGER WARS (VU) #4 (OF 4) REG ZIRCHER
QUANTUM & WOODY #1 REG SOOK *Special Discount*
X-O MANOWAR (VU) #15 REG HARISINE *Special Discount*
SHADOWMAN (VU) #8 REG ZIRCHER
ARCHER & ARMSTRONG (VU) #11 REG PEREZ

I've been trying to READ more of what I get on a monthly basis, and I definitely stay current on Valiant. I've been trying to read my Marvel Now trades in the month I get them too, and I'm really looking forward to another dose of Fraction/Alred FF. Also looking forward to the second trades of Prophet and Glory (sad this is the last trade--the first was SOOOOOOO good). I'm also going to read that Mouse Guard HC, which I hear is excellent.

Mickey and Usagi will be added to the stacks of those various collections that I'm WAY behind on. I'll be reading those in retirement in 25 years or so...

Wouldn't it be great to have 60% off tpbs and 75% off first issues?

Got my box. Just realized I got somewhat screwed with my "third week of the month shipping" for the first time this month. I got Harbinger Wars #4 but both Harbinger #14 and Bloodshot #13 come out this Wednesday, putting them in next month's box.

The Harbinger Wars "event" is a lot like Unity in that between the three titles (Harbinger, Harbinger Wars and Bloodshot) roughly the same thing is happening in all three titles, but from the different perspectives. I think it's been a great story but it really all needs to be read together to get the complete experience. That's not to say I will actually WAIT until next month to read Harbinger Wars #4 but I SHOULD...

Attention all four or five of y'all who read this thread. DCBS is up for the month, which is fast for them.

Here's my likely box.

BLEEDING COOL MAGAZINE #7 $1.99 SP ED (MR) *Special Discount*
WALT DISNEY DONALD DUCK HC VOL 04 XMAS BEAR MOUNTAIN (C: 1-1
DISNEY MICKEY MOUSE COLOR SUNDAYS HC VOL 02 ROBIN HOOD (C: 1
BATTLING BOY HC GN
ARCHER & ARMSTRONG (VU) #14 ORDERALL 8-BIT L2 VAR
SHADOWMAN (VU) #11 ORDERALL 8-BIT L2 VAR
ETERNAL WARRIOR (VU) #2 ORDERALL 8-BIT L2 VAR
QUANTUM & WOODY #4 ORDERALL 8-BIT L2 VAR

BLOODSHOT & HARD CORPS (VU) #15 ORDERALL 8-BIT L2 VAR
X-O MANOWAR (VU) #18 ORDERALL 8-BIT L2 VAR

Loving Valiant so, so much. I also love DCBS's 50% off Valiant bundle, but I may forgo it this month in order to get the 8-bit variant covers (which are super-cool) for about $5 more all in.

I've never paid more for a variant cover before (though I'm still paying less than cover, of course).

Psyched for Paul Pope's Battling Boy, the Sgt. Fury masterworks and for the first trade of Brian Wood's X-Men run (is it any good?).

Just got my box:

Batman #22
Batman Incorporated #12
Batman: Li'l Gotham #4
Batwoman #22
Detective Comics #22
Earth 2 #14
Superman Unchained #2
Avengers #15 & #16
New Avengers #8
Young Avengers #7 & #8
Daredevil #28
FF #9
Fantastic Four #10
Fearless Defenders #6
Hawkeye #12
Hawkeye Annual #1
Indestructible Hulk #10
All-New X-Men #14
Uncanny X-Men #8
Wolverine and the X-Men #33
X-Factor #259

For some reason, books that were released on 31st July shipped out late, so didn't make this delivery. I had three annuals in that batch, so next month is going to be an expensive one, I fear...

What do you think of Jupiter's Legacy and Judge Dredd Classics? Are the JD Classics in color?

Oh yeah, Judge Dredd Classics is in full colored, remastered and restored (I actually have some editions from 1980 or 1981 that were colored for the American market so maybe I can scan some pages and compare them to IDW's new coloring... that's if anybody would like to see that).

I'm a big fan of Millar and Quitely.

Where are these boxes from? Is there a discounted price? Is there any selection in what you will receive?
- Continuity is or it is not. There is no such thing as soft continuity.
- A character IS his continuity.
- Continuity is consistency of the characteristics of people, plot, objects, and places seen by the reader or viewer.

These are the boxes that those of us who receive our comics via monthly mail order get. I guess discounts do factor into things.

An essential factor, I'd say. I wouldn't buy half the comics I get if not for DCBS discounts.

But it is all newly published material?
