God, I'm behind!

I thought it'd be fun. Plus it's really easy for me to do the list.

I swear sometimes that's my way of thinking. 7 short boxes full of stuff I still need to read around my computer room.

LOL. That's what my wife would tell you, at least. I've actually been pretty good about keeping up with my 10 or so monthly comics, but I'm really bad about collected editions and OGNs. Those mostly do just get placed on my shelves for me to admire their spines....

One recent exception to that was Brian Lee O'Malley's Seconds, which I read immediately upon getting last month's box. It was great and well worth jumping my read pile.

My friend actually read my copy of that here last night (since he knows I'm not getting to it yet anytime soon). I just heard him go "Oh crap. Oh wow. Oh this is incredible stuff." LOL so I know he liked it.

You may not see me posting much in this particular group over the next few months (not the Cart one mind you) just because I'm working on moving into an actual house and my unread comics have already been packed up in such a way that not only am I unable to get back to reading cause they're packed up, they were packed up in the wrong order and stuff is mixed with other stuff. So I'm moratoriuming myself on comic reading and sticking with actual books for the time being. But also because of this, when my boxes get here, I'm not going to even bother opening them until I've got a new house. LOL lord knows how long this place could be on the market (please lord, not long).

So I'm not going anywhere, and you'll still of course see my orders, but in terms of what gets here, LOL that you may not know about for a while We'll see. I'll still have the lists checked off on paper so I might still be able to do it.

But I'm not going anywhere so you don't have to worry bout me actually leaving. LOL I know you all love my lists.

Congrats on the impending move! I sincerely hope it'll be an upgrade in your living situation.

But this will be interesting. If you quit comics cold turkey for a month or two, will you really want to come back? I know you have a significant backlog. But when you come back to an overwhelmingly MASSIVE one, I will be curious to see what you do...

I think most of the cold turkey people actually stop buying the stuff as well, not just stop reading for an undisclosed period. LOL I just paid for Sept's books on Thurs and it's already been over a week of no real comic reading. I'm not planning on stopping any buying whatsoever. I've still got Dec's books in my to read pile, I'll just probably read them REAAAAAAAAAL SLOOOOOOOOOOOOW since like I said, I currently have no where to put them right now since their usual place has been packed away and actually moved out of the room while its being painted. When the furniture gets moved back into place, I'll at least have somewhere to put the current stuff.

But yeah, we'll see how long the place is on the market when it goes up. With luck, everyone will want to move into the condo. :-)

Here's my September box. Unfortunately my original shipping indication included George Perez's Sirens #1 but it didn't ultimately ship. I know the book was release so I'm little upset about that. I worry they got shorted and screwed me. I would have thought I was a better customer than that.

Of what I got, I'm really impressed with the Giant-Sized Kung Fu Bible Stories, which is HUGE and gorgeous.

I only got 3 trades this month, which is a low record for me.
